Data Protection Notice

1. Data controller

This notice is prepared by Zero Waste Foundation ("the Foundation") as the data controller under Türkiye's Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("KVKK").

2. Personal data we process

• Identity and contact details (name, email address)
• Account information (username, password hash)
• Content and history of your conversations with the chat assistant
• Cookie preferences and technical usage data (IP address, browser information, session logs)

3. Purposes of processing

We process your personal data to create and manage your account, provide the chat assistant service, improve service quality, fulfill legal obligations, and maintain information security.

4. Legal basis

Data is processed based on the necessity for the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, and legitimate interest.

5. Data transfers

Your data may be shared with our hosting and infrastructure providers to the extent necessary to deliver the service, and with public authorities where legally required. Any transfer abroad is carried out in accordance with KVKK's requirements.

6. Retention period

We retain personal data for as long as required by the processing purpose and applicable statutory limitation periods, after which it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn its purpose and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties it is transferred to, request correction or deletion, and object to its processing.
